my music reviews, some scores for eurovision 2022 line up now, 3 months later

Albania: Ronela Hajati - Sekret 9.5/10

i really don't get why this flopped, it still remains a good bop, but i guess staging looked a bit messy, vocally a few hiccups but overall i thought it was fine too

Armenia: Rosa Linn - Snap 10/10

nothing funnier but quite deserving than a 20th placed finalist getting more popularity post-contest, and i kinda understand where it is coming from, the obvious lumineers similarity, gives it that very strong, solid mainstream appeal

Australia: Sheldon Riley - Not the Same 9.0/10

one who dropped a little in my personal ranking now compared to in May, but doesn't make me think any less of him since he is a HUGE star with his killer vocals

Azerbaijan: Nadir Rustamli - Fade to Black 9.5/10

umm a televoting zero seriously in may i disliked this yes, but now i quite like it, on par for me with their best which is 2015, same haunting ballady bop

Belgium: Jeremie Makiese - Miss You 2.0/10

still cannot like this at all, still keep hearing michael jackson dirty diana copy in the chorus just very bland too

Bulgaria: Intelligent Music Project - Intention 10.0/10

first robbed bop of the year, and i still enjoy listening to every second of this and ronnie's sexy edgy raw vocals, this is just amazing oldschool rock

Croatia: Mia Dimsic - Guilty Pleasure 9.5/10

i enjoy this, understand why it nq'd but i enjoy this, and addition of croatian lyrics near the end which was done last minute was the reason i gave it 1 point extra rather than a 8.5, i wish croatian taylor swift a lovely career

Cyprus: Andromache - Ela 10.0/10

the eurovision gods must really hate me if the fandom overhypes fuego, replay and they let el diablo and ela flop with the latter whom deserved a place in the final imo
this was greek excellence only staging i would've done differently, made it look less static

Czech Republic: We Are Domi - Lights Off 10.0/10

this deserves far more televote points than it got in the final, great song, and dominika is one of my two crushes this year, what a babe

Denmark: REDDI - The Show 3.0/10

what on earth has denmark been thinking to send a washed up clone of katrina & the waves meets blondie, LOL this was meant to fail from the start, and i still don't quite like it

Estonia: Stefan - Hope 9.5/10

still find it super genius of estonians sending a western act to the land of classic western, italy and also a nice tribute to recently passed away ennio morricone
great song and i still enjoy listening to it

Finland: The Rasmus - Jezebel 10.0/10

**** Blind Channel, now this is what you call a serve of a rock bop, was on the edge of my seat as a Rasmus fanboy, especially for Lauri whom is just so lovely, charismatic and likeable too, the IT staging similarities i liked how cheesy that was

France: Alvan & Ahez - Fulenn 10.0/10

has been my favourite since it won their national selection, this was robbed in the contest big time, such a strong bop with a singer whom oozes charisma and the ladies well loved it, gave me medieval dungeons and dragons vibes

Georgia: Circus Mircus - Lock me in 10.0/10

the sheni's have outdone themselves this year, bringing the steampunk circus with a hint of a willy wonka lookalike and a catchy bop, loved every second from this and still do, awesome

Germany: Malik Harris - Rockstars 5.5/10

good song, wrong artist
think this song would've come across better if performed by a rock legend of theirs for example Peter Maffay, not someone young without experience like Malik

Great Britain: Sam Ryder - Space Man 9.5/10

song is good, but the video wow that kinda made me cry too, very nicely made, also with some care workers and Sam floating above the UK, gave me coldplay up & up vibes how well the video was made, deserving result and i enjoy listening to this song still

Greece: Amanda Tenfjord - Die Together 7.5/10

something what i don't like about her voice, bit too autotune with some effects work
the song's genre i do like, in that same alley as Birdy, London Grammar
in the contest i did like it however, but i'm back to finding the song a bit too meh

Ireland: Brooke - That's Rich 8.5/10

another year, another nq, but Brooke had so much fun and she is still doing well for herself career wise, this was a enjoyable little bop, but just not too wow-ish maybe

Israel: Michael Ben-David - I'M 5.5/10

not gonna mention him harassing sheldon riley not even rupaul would want this ''song'' but for fun purposes i keep listening to it for some reason lol

Iceland: Systur - Med Haekkandi Sol 11/10

such a laidback chill bop, am still feeling proud for having voted for this in the semi final and the grand final icelandic is soooo beautiful

Italy: Mahmood & Blanco - Brividi 4.5/10

how on earth was this a bookie favourite, but then again it didn't matter much since ukraine were always gonna win this is worse than soldi for me

Latvia: Citi Zeni - Eat Your Salad 9.5/10

not a 10 from me, because that would've gone to Bujans - he, she you and me, but this was also a enjoyable bop, and such cuties of boys off stage, still enjoy listening to this a lot

Lithuania: Monika Liu - Sentimentai 8.5/10

still making me laugh a lot our commentators calling her the Mireille Mathieu of Lithuania, and i always add then with a hint of christine & the queens
great song, lithuanian language shines with french vibes which is soo cool

Malta: Emma Muscat - I am what i am 10/10

am at peace with her nq, but she is and always will be my winner of 2022, generic yes but oh so catchy, and i am proud of her for her staying loyal to her own opinions about this song, and made it lead single for her newest EP I Am Emma, and also love her recent collab with spain 2021's Blas Canto ''La Stessa Lingua''
she is a superstar

Moldova - Zdob si Zdub & Fratii Advahov - Trenuletul 10/10

HEY HO, give me same amounts of fun energy as Rowwen Heze, LETS GO
3rd time at ESC and all times making it to the final, that is also quite an achievement
so much fun this banger

Montenegro: Vladana - Breathe 6.5/10

first of all should've been in montenegrin, not english
secondly, this instrumental is so lovely and her voice in beginning parts reminds me bit of joan baez

Netherlands: S10 - De Diepte 10/10

normally i am not into what we send in the contest because usually far too generic and too easily going for simple english bores, but thankfully this year changed, and hopefully more dutch entries to come
this was great, even if S10 was super nervous she still stayed vocally on point and delivered a very nice performance

North Macedonia: Andrea - Circles 8.0/10

don't know what i have to say about this, its a middle of the road song

Norway: Subwoolfer - Give that wolf a banana 10/10

even if they aren't Ylvis, great this act is inspired from Ylvis at the very least, super solid act, and great fun performance, and also lovely how they stay in character all the time and also funny backstories to go with it

Poland: Ochman - River 8.5/10

good song, but the special effects ruined the performance for me
i still enjoy listening to it

Portugal: MARO - Saudade Saudade 10/10

portugal is on a strong streak now, with me 2021 both impressing me in adult esc and junior esc, and now again with this portuguese melissa etheridge but still very original as well
this is hypnotizing, charming

Romania: WRS - Llamame 9.5/10

romania's stefano keizers but in all seriousness, this was a catchy bop with a very uplifting dance choreo, good romania came back from their negative nq spiral with something fun

San Marino: Achille Lauro - Stripper 9.0/10

i disliked him pre-contest, i loved him during the contest and now i still enjoy listening to this fun song

Serbia: Konstrakta - In Corpore Sano 10/10

Meghan Markle being soooo popular she gets mentioned in a serbian song at ESC
the biti zdrava bits are such an earwurm, i am clapping along all the time when i listen to this

Slovenia: LPS - Disko 9.5/10

great funky slovene bop and controversial but i prefer them big time over Dadi Freyr in 2020, 2021

Sweden: Cornelia Jakobs - Hold Me Closer 6.0/10

Klara Hammarstrom was robbed with run to the hills, but i also would love to see eagle eye cherry represent the swedes some year or at least take part at melfest some year

this was refreshing from all other plastic pop what they usually go for, but idk something was lacking here and i don't know what

Ukraine: Kalush Orchestra - Stefania 10/10

obvious winner of course, dislike the rap but the singing bits are wow, that guy has to always sing the ukrainian national anthem pls, and the flute is very hypnotizing for sure
next year give us Oleg Vinnek towards the UK pls
