His father, brother and sister in laws positions have all changed greatly, so if he were taking a pop at any of them now like he did when he said his father cut him off etc, then it's a direct attack on the current monarch. It wouldn't go down well with the public. As I say, he may have patched things up too and may feel its just not appropriate to say some things he may have previously felt like saying.

If he gets it right now, things could get a lot easier for him and Meghan, they may even be allowed a part time role, who knows. The rules set in stone by the late queen may well get thrown out, but it wouldnt be appropriate to change them overnight, it requires some settling time. My advice to him would be to bite his tongue for a while and let the changes happen
