Default Week 2

It's Week 2 and the theme this time is The Beatles! But who will win a ticket to ride or who will sink as low as the yellow Submarine. Will it be a hard day's night for our contestants that will leave them shouting Help!. Let's take to the dancefloor

First up is Kate and Graziano with a Quickstep to Lady Madonna

Liam: Decent effort. 7

Niamh: Good fit, good song, strong entry an 8!

Parmnion: Twice in a row the show has opened with a faultless act, not to quick and definitely not to slow. Legs got tied up a bit during the transfers but in general it did the job. 8

Score: 23

Next is Nicky and Dianne with a Waltz to Stand by me

Liam: Just didn't seem very waltzy to me I’m afraid. 4.

Niamh: I thought this was a little bit fast for the waltz and I think of all the classic Beatles songs out there a mediocre cover of someone eases song wasn't a great choice 5.

Parmnion: Sorry, this one wasn't for me. I don't particularly think it works with a waltz, apart from when the music originally picks up a beat or two.l, liked the song though. 6

Score: 15

Next is Annie and Gorka with a Tango to Eleanor Rigby

Liam: sorry, didn’t suit a tango at all. 4

Niamh: One of my favourite Beatles songs, possibly one of they few that would fit the Tango as well so great choice loved that 9!

Parmnion: Started off well with the violins and that, but then it just depresses me. More suited to a military marching themed dance. 5

Score: 18

Next is Jake and Nancy with a Jive to Saw her standing there

Liam: Too slow and really lacking in energy for a jive. 5

Niamh: This is perfection, first 10 of the series for me!

Parmnion: I think I just saw you...oooooo...standing there with a glittery ball. 10!

Score: 25

Next is Cherie and Johannes with a Foxtrot to She loves you

Liam: 6.

Niamh: I thought this was a little fast for the Foxtrot 7.

Parmnion: She loved you...4

Score: 17

Next is Lewis and Amy with a Rumba to Yesterday

Liam: well done, thats more like it. 8.

Niamh: This was beautiful, brought a tear to my eye, another 10!

Parmnion: Slow, yet rythmic. A true delight amongst a lot of drivel. 10!

Score: 28

Next is Vanessa and Giovanni with a Cha Cha to Get Back

Liam: not the best, but not a complete disaster either. 6

Niamh: Great fit, really enjoyed that 9!

Parmnion: You got some pizzazz going on there..I didnt want it to stop. 10!

Score: 25

Closing the show is Slim and Katya with an American Smooth to Something

Liam: a bit dull, but got the job done. 6

Niamh: I think this is too slow for the American Smooth, I wanted to love it because I adore that song but it just doesn't fit the dance imo 6.

Parmnion: Had its moments, but I would have used this for Venetian waltz..not slick enough. 7

Score: 19
