I do of course know people who smoked life-long and died well into their 80's of non-related things. So it doesn't kill everyone... ... ... just lots of people,
Yeah my mum smoked when she was young but quit when she married my dad and had my brother (approx 22/23). Her cause of death was metastatic lung cancer that had spread to her brain and spine. She had no usual lung cancer symptoms, no cough etc (the only reason she went to docs was because one of her eyes drooped and the diagnosis came on 3rd November and she died 3rd December) but they said her smoking will have been a catalyst no matter how long ago. Scares the **** out of me to be honest as I smoked till my early 30s.

However my grandad smoked 60 a day at times and was almost 80 when he passed.

I swear if I ever catch my kid smoking I'll kill him myself
