Do we have reason to assume that should Russia ("re")take Ukraine, they'd go on to other countries? As ToyBoy said, Ukraine is more culturally similar to Russia than Western European countries or America, it's not like they're one of out allies.

Lots of "faith-based" countries are constantly at war with each other and themselves, and the West doesn't get involved with all of them, what makes Ukraine different? Is it simply the relative proximity?
