I don't think we're there yet with automation and some jobs will never be automated, or certainly not any time soon, despite all of the play-acting on Social Media with things like ChatGPT (that has now apparently been hacked to be more self aware or something

) it's all smoke and mirrors; real artificial intelligence does not exist and is nowhere near.
The wealth-hoarding and social breakdown of end stage capitalism is pretty clear at this stage though. Really no denying that IMO. Some sort of wealth redistribution mechanism is going to be required or it's going to get even more ridiculous than it is now. Capitalism was never supposed to result in a tiny number of people and organisations sitting on mountains of resources that they could never possibly use in a thousand years while working-age employed adults struggle for basic accomodation. It's a system that's ultimately doomed. The youngest part of the workforce is already reportedly "lacking in work ethic" which basically just means, they do the bare minimum and if their boss gets angry about it they quit on the spot. You have to admire it really
