Yes, but if they're offering a job, then surely the employer needs to know who they're hiring???

The employer has to be assured this person being 'offered the job' will fit in and actually do the job.

The way the MP said it was as if there are loads of jobs being offered without interview or even the employer knowing who they're hiring.

I think a better way of putting it is they show you jobs that yes, like you said, fit your skillset, and it's up to you to go to the interview and try to get the job.

So no actual 'start on Monday' jobs are being offered
