I agree on the NHS shutdown - it was a disaster, service should never have been closed or restricted. It's proving impossible to catch up.
Schools ... ?

There's VERY LITTLE evidence of poorer education outcomes for kids who were out of school for lockdown tbh. Bigger effect on kids in exam years, but I don't think there's any real evidence of the education of primary school-aged kids being particularly "damaged" at all. Academically minded kids caught up quicker, less academically minded kids were never going to be achieving high grades anyway and - in fact - many discovered other areas of interest/talents during that time because they weren't being shoehorned into activities that aren't right for them.
