I haven't played the Game personally, but I did hear about a certain controversy that to me sounded like really dumb writing.
I get where you're coming from though, because again without even playing the Game, the one thing it deserves a lot of credit for is the fact that it created huge waves with people that played it, imo people don't appreciate that enough in entertainment and instead prefer the Games that they won't even remember playing in a month's time.
