Suspected gunman Robert Louis Singletary, 24, is on the run from
police after allegedly injuring Kinsley White and her parents
A six-year-old girl and her parents have been shot after a basketball rolled into their neighbour’s yard.
Kinsley White sustained a wound to the face when an angry neighbour opened fire, after becoming enraged about the
ball rolling on to his premises in Gaston County, North Carolina, at approximately 8pm on Tuesday, according to US channel WSOC-TV.
The girl’s father, William White, was critically injured while attempting to protect his daughter from the bullets and
remained in hospital as of Wednesday night.
Her mother, Ashley Hilderbrand, was grazed by a bullet, but has since returned home with her daughter to recover.
The suspected gunman is 24-year-old Robert Louis Singletary, who is on the run from police.
The evil shooter
On April 13, a black teenager, Ralph Yarl, was shot in the head after knocking
on the wrong door in Kansas City. The 16-year-old has since returned home
from hospital.
A 20-year-old woman, Kaylin Gillis, was shot dead when a car she was a
passenger in turned into the wrong driveway.
Two cheerleaders were shot in a Texas carpark after opening the wrong car
door.
