Also the 1901 "special" Irn Bru is clearly better than the "normal" Irn Bru they sell now... take a look at the ingredients... they're basically identical, except 1901 has more sugar and no Aspartame + Acesulfame.
I think it's clear where the cancer comes from. Not sugar, but the dirty synthetic alternatives
