Actors strikes are slightly different - the issue is that most actors are "job to job" actors and actually make very little. The bigger names are on strike in support of their unknown colleagues rather than for more money for themselves, which I find quite admirable.
The same I would say GENERALLY applies to the higher paid people in the NHS... They're not being greedy and striking for more money when they're already on £75k+, they're acknowledging that most staff are on nothing even close to that.
