I think they've made interesting CBB housemates for exactly that reason - it's been fascinating to see how different they are compared to the faux-reality versions on their own shows.
Charlotte basically continued being Geordie Shore Charlotte for most of it though.
I also found the random post-Geordie Shore "docuseries" things they did with some of the cast being older/having kids/going round Morrissons for the same reason. On the face of it... very little interesting happened in these shows... but that's what made them interesting. Seeing that the "mad characters" from shows like GS for the mostpart ended up being regular boring adults buying nappies at 1am like the rest of us
