Ahh the old "it diminishes what real sexual assault is!" trope.
"80mph isn't speeding, officer, I've seen people doing over 100mph so..."
"It was just one slap in the fact, not a REAL assault, some people end up in hospital!"
Or of course the recent "he only nonced one measly 17 year old your honour stop over reacting" from the Andrew thread.
Or the classic; "Hungry? You're not hungry! There's starving children in 3rd world countries!"
tl;dr she's wrong that because there are obviously worse examples of sexual assault, that this is not a form of sexual assault. Where do you end that impossible standard? You're always going to be able to think of a worse form of assault. You can call something what it is and still acknowledge levels of severity. I don't think anyone has called for him to go to prison. He absolutely should lose his position.
