People get huffy about banning breeds based on the argument that the problem is the owner / lack of responsibility, not the dog itself.
I would counter with this: A gun is an inanimate object, it has not motivations at all and literally can't do anything at all without being in someone's hand.
We still banned those.
Ban them
. I'm not saying we have to seize or do anything at all with the ones people already have as pets... just ban breeding & sale. It literally affects no one at all. Just stop breeding them. Get a different dog breed. No one "needs" to have a certain breed of dog. In 10-15 years time the problem will be massively reduced.
