To be fair I do think there's a change in tides. People are becoming less tolerant of the abuse, and the wake of #MeToo and #TimesUp has empowered victims to speak up.

Let's (thankfully!) note that most allegations are historical. Obviously that doesn't lessen the impact for current ones, or mean there won't be more.

I don't think we need be quite so defeatist.
