Admittedly the young farmers institution has a lot of impact on the game.
But that's mostly your university teams like heriot watt and Stewart's Melville. Your local teams like we have in the borders is pretty similar to the north of england league set up where local lads(electricians, joiners etc)play for local teams.
Inly difference during my growing up was the posh league boys having the cash to plunder our towns best roofers..like taity.
