Yeah, I think it definitely makes sense that they want to establish a new identity without being tied too closely to the past. But I also feel like they're underestimating the power of nostalgia. Not only for the older millennial fans, but Get Z as well has a fascination with 2000s culture and the era that we grew up in.
As someone who now works in the industry though, I know the network big wigs have the final say and are typically arrogantly out of touch with their audiences.

…I hope that you love being in the industry and that it’s a career that has met all hopes and expectations for you, Ryan….it’s funny because only a few days ago, I wasn’t really on board with the new reality tv thing/styles of ‘manipulation’ for storylines and drama etc…many seem to have that…I wanted it all to feel more organic than it has at times…but after the Halloween dramas and how it’s buzzin’ again…even though storylines are still feeling manipulated, it’s feeling more old school again …if that makes sense…the new is creating the vibe of the old, yet attracting younger audiences …(..I presume …)…so maybe the gaging of audiences is becoming just right and will be constantly tweaked and evolving…
