Yeah thinking back to what I typed, it doesn't actually sound beyond the bounds of reason for something that moronic to be inserted slap-bang in the middle of what's ostensibly meant to be a historical war epic.
Though I would hope Ridley Scott would be one of the last directors to succumb to that kind of silliness.
