But then it turned into an ulcer and was very painful. This went on for five days and on day five the wound had got bigger and was weeping - that's a watery substance coming out of it.
I'd already been to the chemist but nothing worked.
My mum used Fuller's Earth powder to dry up wounds and speed up healing.
I didn't have any, so I thought of an alternative. Golden Fry Gravy Granules. I know it sounds crazy but I thought what the heck, it might do something and dry the wound up. It couldn't do any worse.
And again, crazy as it sounds, I put a little on my wound. Within seconds the pain stopped, and it didn't weep. Within about two hours it had dried up completely and a scab was forming which is what I wanted.
Just 20 hours later my wound is looking so much better and is healing.
It's truly amazing. I think it's called serendipity.

Why did you choose that .. rather than talcum powder or bicarb or something ?
I saw a program in Discovery years ago where a guy living off the grid accidentally chopped through his arm …. hundreds of miles from anywhere .. anyways he poured half a bag of sugar into the open , profusely bleeding wound .. it’s apparently a ‘thing’ .. honey works as well supposedly
