I used to find that regular players would win the Irish Lotto in little "batches" - win nothing for years and then get it twice in the space of a month or two. Granted, that's a £700 win not $1million but the same randomness principle applies... If you win the lottery, you have as much chance of winning again the next week as any other draw.

Note that this is not the same as saying you have high odds of winning twice in a row PRIOR to the first win.
