To suggest that most 7 year olds in Scotland can't read is ridiculous though
. There were one or two kids in my daughter's class who took a bit longer to get there, but that's always been the case, some kids have educational difficulties.
Not that I'm saying education is in a good place - it obviously isn't, and especially primary schools. Terrible under-funding. It's not just the SNP's fault though, ultimately the lack of public funds is down to Tory underfunding as we all know.
