Absolutely. Its the third most common cancer in men and more than ten thousand men in the uk will die of it every years.
I know men are very good at ignoring symptoms, but prostate cancer is like ovarian cancer, in that it's a silent killer. People often don't get symptoms until they have advanced cancer.
My husband carries the gene for prostate cancer but trying to get a PSA test was very difficult. The doctors told him he was too young. Even when he got some very typical symptoms, he was gaslighted. Yes, they did a digital examination and he was assured it was all normal, so by the time he did get a diagnosis (Privately) the cancer had advanced out of the prostate and he's been battling that cancer ever since.
