It was elites protecting elites that delayed everything. They had 3 years to take action and didn't. Whether you like it or not, the dems contributed to the political mess that america finds itself in. They made half the population stop believing in democratic politics. So yes, they are 2 sides of the same coin.
The dems put up an 82 year old man for re-election that is clearly faltering, supported by what many people believe to be the most disliked and ineffectual VP they ever had. That is nobodies fault but the dems
