The Show just needs to fix three things, and I think that it'll be fine.

1. The people running Eurovision and the voters need to not make Politics the main aspect of the Show, it literally dominated this last series and it ruined the enjoyment of the competition for me, because everything ended up being about Israel. And obviously some of the voters and contestants that were trying to get her removed, and then throwing their toys out of the pram when it failed was absolutely pathetic imo.

There's nothing wrong with protesting against Israel by not voting for them/or supporting them, but trying to isolate a contestant because she happens to be from a country that's not popular due to stuff that Netanyahu has done, is not only unfair to her, but also incredibly cruel, especially when some of these people liked to act all self-righteous and moral, yet they can't even be civil about a girl in a singing contest.

2. I don't feel comfortable with winners happening that aren't even in the top four of the public vote, regardless of what I personally think of the song.

It's basically a waste of time people voting if someone who is in 5th Place in the public vote ends up being the winner.

It'd be like Tottenham being called the Premier League champions in this season just gone on the Football.

3. The zany costumes need to be dialled back a little bit, because nowadays the Show (and a lot of the audience tbf) do seem to think (and I'm going to be blunt when I say this) that the only way to be good is to dress like a freak.

For example the Latvia song didn't need the singer to dress like whatever the **** he was trying to look like, it was a normal ballad with a good vocalist singing the song, that's all it needed to stay as imo, but Eurovision couldn't resist, so they made him dress up like a weirdo.

There are other examples that I can think of in this series, but I get that it might be a touchy subject in some cases.
