I feel like there was some separation between ITV & C5. C5 always seemed too showbiz. ITV seemed to match better with the home vibe without feeling slobbish (somehow?) but feel very current. C5 houses always ended up feeling very slobbish to me towards the end...
I loved that the C4 era looked so torture
I only watched one series from then, but it was so funny all these OTT characters packed in a clinical-ish (best description, I agree) environment... more like watching rats in a social lab. I could see where one could think it feels a bit normal after a while being there, but then every now and then have their psych moments...
