It goes beyond her, generally. Whenever benefits are discussed or anything along those lines, you can read the same stuff "well, they've got a flat screen TV" or every Christmas, the sun will write a piece about a mother on benefits buying her children ipads, as though they are expected to just sit and play with coal for the rest of their lives.
People are taught to look down at one rung of the ladder below, but be enthralled by those one rung above. It keeps everybody away from questioning where the money of this country is actually going.
