Well I've just watched that on the link I provided.. you can zoom right in in his face as he makes his speech.

To me it looked staged. It looked like he had something on his ear ready to explode. He also took the crowds eyes away from him by directing them to look at immigration figures on a giant screen..would have been believable but the timing of it all was just slightly out for my senses not to start tingling.
