CBS announced today the premier date for Big Brother 10 which is set for July 13th. While fans in the United States are hoping for a Thursday eviction this summer CBS replies “I don’t think so!”

In the press release which announced CBS’ summer schedule Big Brother will find itself airing episodes on Sundays at 8 PM ET/PT, Tuesdays at 9 PM ET/PT and Wednesdays at 8 PM Live ET/Delayed PT. The first eviction show will be held on July 16th. The press release also stated that there will be “all new game twists and surprises.”

Julie Chen, aka “Chenbot” or “Happy Smiley Lady Host” as the E4 announcer dubs her in an advert for Big Brother 9, will return to host Big Brother 10 as well.

This is the first summer season of Big Brother USA that will not air on a Thursday since Big Brother 4 however its not the only one to air on a Wednesday. Big Brother 3 followed a schedule of Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; Big Brother 4 aired episodes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays; Big Brother 5 aired on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; Big Brother 6 through Big Brother 8 aired on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Big Brother 9 was the first to follow a Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday pattern which didn’t do it any favors. Will this same pattern hamper Big Brother 10? Also this is the first summer edition of Big Brother USA to premier on a Sunday as well.
