Depends if it's done right or wrong - if it's for the numbers/stats with arbitrary hires then yes. If it's with a proper understanding that a diverse workforce offering diverse perspectives actually IS better for a workplace/business than simply hiring every applicant "with top grades" then no.
That's what "proper" DEI is about. Understanding that someone with the most experience/best qualifications isn't necessarily the best hire if you already have other staff members with similar experience and qualifications. You want to increase your knowledge and perspective pool "as a whole", not add clones of your best employee.
