To be fair I think he gave up several days ago. If he's just going to keep himself to himself, he isn't going to enjoy the experience and will become dull viewing. He's not fighting to redeem himself in some people's eyes, he's just pushing people away. It's basically a popularity contest so get over it. Easy for me to say. Who knows how he's feeling but he's become very reserved. He's obviously not dealing with things very well, and missing his son, so maybe it's just kinder in some respects to let him go?
