1) Cattle raised for Beef burgers in UK McDonalds come from EU and British stocks. Beef in the US comes from established ranches as does cattle in South America. McDonalds do not take beef from rain forrest cleared land (That is a myth)
McDonalds in the past has given donations to Kew gardens for part of research in preserving the rain forrest.
2) In the UK we have the toughest standards for animal welfare, the link provided appears to be related to activities in the US.
3) Material like this usually comes from certain pressure groups who have an agenda of converting the world to veganism, inspite of the evidence that humans are omnivores.
4) on the health issues, McDonalds has blased the trail with the introduction of salads and carrot sticks for children. The recent film "Super Size Me" did not seem to mention this and appeared to be another attempt by the left wing to attack a company based on an out of date perception.
It seems that if a company is successful, then we assume that they are a bunch of crooks who will rob us blind.
McDonalds also assist a charity so that parents of children who are in hospital can stay in accommodation on the hospital grounds. The detractors of McDonalds do not seem to mention this.
As for KFC, I will pass your comments on to the Cyber Devil's Advocate assigned to KFC.
