Ali has aligned herself with the weakest people in there...the ones she knows she can control and manipulate.
She sounds like she knows what she is talking about but she completely contradicts her own behaviour most of the time. She has told a few of them that Dean was the instigator of those decisions but left her to take the flak...then Dean comes over and asks her if she is ok and she doesn't say a word to him about it. She knows she has Dean where she wants him atm (he is weak, all mouth and no trousers)...unyet she has pretty much slagged him off behind his back...and she calls Khalid FAKE.
