They were originally going to use mayo, and far as I know muslims are allowed mayonnaise
so there's probably not been a huge amount of thought put into it. It's just unfortunate they used that substance for that person, likely nothing too sinister.

That's harder to explain tbh. If she likened their behaviour to a specific animal, i.e. if they all ate all the food, then fair enough, call them greedy pigs. But marsupials? Wtf? Does she even know what marsupials are?
Is she saying those three carry their young in slimy pouches? Because I've seen no evidence of that.
