Dyspraxia, also known as developmental coordination disorder (DCD), can cause a variety of symptoms that vary by person and may change over time:
Movement and coordination: Difficulty with balance, walking up and down stairs, running, jumping, hopping, catching, or kicking a ball
Fine motor skills: Difficulty writing, drawing, using scissors, or grasping small objects
Daily living skills: Difficulty dressing, doing up buttons, or tying shoelaces
Learning: Difficulty learning new skills, or following instructions
Memory: Poor memory, especially short-term memory
Organization: Difficulty planning, organizing, or time management
Social skills: Difficulty listening to people, especially in large groups, or picking up non-verbal signals
Emotions: Difficulty dealing with emotions, getting stressed, depressed, or anxious easily
Posture: Poor posture and muscle fatigue
Rhythm: Lack of rhythm when dancing
