Vanessa, I gave it a big score of 7.5 not because it's brilliant but because it held my attention and the main actress was very good.
Even though I didn't see the original in its entirety I've heard the second one is much the same. Loads of critics too. But nonetheless I enjoyed it. Hope you do, too.
