As I'm sure you probably know, studies and research into the effectiveness of CBD vs placebo are as-yet inconclusive, the reason it's now widely available is that the research DOES show that it doesn't cause harm. Anecdotally, I do have the occasional CBD-containing-product from time to time and have found that it might relieve some stress - but I don't know if it's a placebo effect. The key point there being... if it's harmless, then that doesn't really matter (placebo AS effective treatment is a fascinating area, the mind and perception is a powerful thing).

Anyway tl;dr when I said I'm not entirely convinced I don't mean I don't think it works or even that I'm not > 50% convinced, I just put my stock in the actual research, and that is ongoing.
