It makes no sense, even if they were genuinely pursuing US isolationism... you build the self-sufficient infrastructure
first and then make moves to end or reduce international trade. Not the other way round, lol... they'll need Canadian resources to
build the stuff they'd need to build to generate their own resources. It's all utter nonsense, thus why I'm convinced it's a scheme to harvest as much $$$$$ as possible over the next 4 years and then hand the ruined economy back to someone else.
