It is. Obviously it's fine to have criticisms of a government and to believe they've handled things badly. But to try to say that it's on par with the systematic dismantling of the entire government system and replacing every last dissenter with loyalists, appointing billionaires to "untitled" government positions, starting trade wars, and crashing global markets (repeatedly and quite possible on purpose), clear oppression of others in politics, clear oppression of the press, attempts to rewrite the entire US constitution, ripping international alliances to shreds, kowtowing to Russian interests...

Is utter nonsense. The scale simply is not comparable. Comparing Trump's actions to a few chavvy grannies getting suspended sentences for racist social media comments is simple madness. It's not comparing apples and oranges, it's comparing a spud gun to an ICBM.
