Yep that's just human interaction really, people are agreeable and amiable until they get to know each other. It was always best when OG main series started off this way... I can see Ammi's point though, about how it doesn't generate the same classic viewing with shorter stays.
The REALLY long series mid-original-run (the ones that went for like 3 months lol) were fascinating specifically because you got the see the "polite early phase", the "high-octane mid phase" and then the war-weary slog of the last few weeks. It was great
