I honestly don't think he is homophobic in the slightest... I think he is just used to people that can laugh at themselves and are ok with taking the piss a bit out of each other. I think he misjudged her... Assumed that she would take it in good humour and give it back a bit.

I also think that he gives zero ***** about this show and just wants to get out and get paid and go home.
