Jack's was the normal reaction of someone in a settled long term relationship - like yes you miss your partner deeply, but it's 3 weeks, it's barely an extended business trip

Jojo I think people think her reaction was about her partner but I actually think reading between the lines she has a bit of a "pressured" / codependent thing going on with her mum... which wouldn't be surprising, coming from the American pageant/"Dance Moms" background... she was really analysing those words, not because of missing people but because of being stressed/anxious about "what conversations are waiting". A shame really.
