I'm not ready yet. I have way too much going on to pick up Farming 101, but I have been growing some mint in my kitchen that I'm letting go wild. I've built cedar planters in the past and I have some materials I bought to make one, but just going to put wildflowers in for it. Who knows, maybe i'll be converted to some food... but I think if I do that, there's a silly divot in my yard from where a tree used to be that's mostly level-ish... but I think if I do food I'll build something rather large there and plant. I do have dogs so have to be concerned there... and squirrels... lots and lots of squirrels...

I would say try potatoes as they are so easy to grow, but they are poisonous to dogs, especially the leaves.
