Default Manhunt launched after five stabbed in horror attack at southeast London party…

A manhunt is under way after five people were stabbed during an event in southeast London, police have confirmed.

Officers were called to Nathan Way in Thamesmead at around 4.19am on Saturday following reports of a serious incident.

Emergency services found five people suffering from stab wounds. All were taken to hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not yet been confirmed.

No arrests have been made, and police have launched an urgent investigation.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Enquiries are ongoing and a cordon will remain in place throughout the day.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We were called at 4.17am on Saturday 16 May to reports of a stabbing in Nathan Way, SE28.

“We sent resources including ambulance crews, paramedics in response cars, an incident response officer, advanced paramedics and London's air ambulance.

“We treated three patients at the scene before taking them to hospital.”

Nick, a scrap metal worker whose business is on Nathan Way, took to social media to say that there had been “multiple stabbings”.

He posted on Facebook: “The yard will be closed today. Overnight there has been multiple stabbings outside and subsequently the police have closed the road in both directions.

“They have advised me that the road will be closed for the rest of the day. Apologies for the inconvenience, I hope to see you all again soon.”
