The protesters announced just before 3pm they were dispersing from the scene, five minutes before the end of the three-hour period they were permitted by the Met to gather.

A number have left but others have remained.

They went on to chant: “We are going to leave as a group. We keep each other safe. We’re going to save our energy to shut down Elbit (systems].”

Piers Corbyn then attempted to make a speech.

But he was drowned out by chants of “No one likes you” and “we don’t talk to Zionists” led by a megaphone.
