Default Anyika Onuora shares her story (of racist and misogynistic experiences within sport)

https://youtu.be/BLVn5XW9Lug?si=wtc0iLME99TroiTl

I have a very close personal association with Anyika’s family (the “how” is personal and not this forum’s business, but that’s besides the point anyway) and I’ve grown to admire her more since her book (titled “The Hidden Race”) came out on Amazon, but this isn’t just about me. Some may revert to usual stock-criticism when it comes to these kinds of concepts (‘it’s over-thinky,’ ‘it’s too out-there for a Big-Brother forum,’ whatever) but I’m referencing something far more important in the grand scheme of things, speaking not from a myopic, very particular experiential point of view laced with underlying misogyny but from the heart and convinced that everyone on this forum (especially women with either an interest in sports themselves or people who know females with an interest in the sphere) at-least has a go at trying to watch this video and holding space for individual women’s experiences in this regard. Her points about misogyny are things some of this forum can definitely relate to.
