3 of my family left in the times of the previous Conservative government's despicable treatment of the then Junior Doctors, now termed Resident Doctors, from 2016 onwards.
The 3 of my family went to New Zealand, then 2 of them settled in Australia.
Where they are treated with respect and have far better conditions plus far better income for their vitally skillful and dedicated work too.
They'd now NEVER come back to the UK.
If people here and government keep disrespecting them, treating them with contempt and expecting more and more work while not paying them properly for ALL the lives Doctors help save.
Then more and more WILL leave the UK.
They already are doing so.
Maybe IF more of them do get up and leave, people here may then end up screaming but way too late, that they SHOULD have been treated far better and respected far more too.
IF I was a now Resident Doctor, I'd be planning to be on a plane within weeks to get out of the UK.
No hesitation whatsoever.
