You make some good points above - I think JoJo has handled this pretty poorly post-show and has basically said "lol lesbian? moi? you have the wrong girl!" which probably pissed a lot of lesbians off because you're right, it does given some ammo to homophobes that lesbian's can change - but JoJo has also spoken about feeling like she needed to box herself in when she came out, which I also understands can happen. Unfortunately, some people in the LGBT community are obsessed with labels, so I also want to give her a little bit of grace because while 22 is not adolescent, she's still pretty young, has had a pretty unique upbringing and probably felt like she had to say things that maybe weren't exactly how she felt.

I think regardless, I wouldn't say she's lied to manipulate or mislead but rather was super confused and said a lot of stuff that maybe she wasn't confident in to begin with.
