Also, it seems like they were outed by a Discord group (great job there) with the amount of direct quotes from that one chat group alone with all the influencers just freely sitting there and blabbing

... I'd love to hear the details for how or who outed this, but I imagine using Discord for negotiations is probably the #1 reason.
Maybe it's destined to fail at the very start because they offered money to too many people who aren't used to being financially validated for their "good work" and so they're not going to exactly be as secretive as needed about it... egos and all...

I find it kind of interesting that it's Wired, a techy site that broke this. Now Gizmodo also reporting directly on it which is also tech-related. I can't remember if Wired is tied to them or not... Anyway, it's just so interesting to me...
