Texas supercell:
We had some significant flooding in our area (not widespread). Some people had their cars flooded out trying to get through an underpass.
They never learn.
For us, September usually means tropical season begins as this is about the time any systems start to make their way through.. all our storms of recent have been earlier, though.
Also, the sun has been busy. Northern parts of the US got an advisory for northern lights:
